Why this page exists
SCOTUS Decisions is an independent research and educational project. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Supreme Court, Congress, or any agency. Several images here show federal buildings or are portraits of justices. Each is used under the licence named in its row below — some are United States government works in the public domain, others are Creative Commons photographs by individual photographers — and their use does not imply endorsement of this site by any government body. No federal seal, Supreme Court seal, or agency logo appears anywhere on this site.
Where an image carries a licence other than public domain, the licence is named below and the link goes to the original record so the terms can be checked at source. If you believe an image is mis-credited, the repository is public and issues are welcome.
